This region consists of the Municipalities of Gjøvik, Nordre Land, Søndre Land, Vestre Toten and Østre Toten. It has a population of about 70,000, which makes it the most populous part of Oppland County. In addition, it has the largest and most developed trade and industry in inland Norway. You will find a variety of lakes, mountains, towns and countryside, industry and agriculture. In the summertime, there are many idyllic beaches and bathing places, well marked hiking trails, and good fishing opportunities. In the wintertime, you will find miles and miles of ski tracks for cross-country skiing in a varied landscape, many of them lighted in the evening. We can offer something for everybody!
